
Cari Mueske
MSW Clinical Trainee
Cari Mueske grew up in Southern MN and is originally from SPAM Town USA (aka Austin, MN)! Cari is a dedicated mental health practitioner and an emerging clinical trainee completing her final clinical internship at New Prague Counseling. With a strong academic foundation, Cari has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Minnesota State University-Mankato. She's anticipated to obtain her Master of Social Work degree in July 2025 from Minnesota State University-Mankato. Cari blends academic insight with hands-on experience to provide compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals across diverse backgrounds.
Throughout her career, Cari has focused on her skills in group home environments and community settings. Within these roles, she has successfully built rapport with clients facing serious and persistent mental illnesses, helping them develop independent living skills, manage crisis situations, and navigate daily challenges. Cari also has a background in working with school aged children at the YWCA and working intensively one-on-one with adults in the community. Her varied experience has equipped her with strong competencies in crisis planning, treatment implementation, and effective communication.
Cari is passionate about empowering her clients and is recognized for her resourcefulness, collaborative approach, and commitment to continuous professional growth. As she enters the final phase of her clinical internship, she looks forward to further refining her clinical expertise and making a meaningful impact on the mental health community.
In her free time, Cari enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies and television shows of all genres, loves taking photographs, reading and playing games on her tablet. Cari also enjoys her time with her fur-babies at home as all her human ones have moved out of the house.
