Karen Jensen
MSW, LICSW
Karen was born and raised on a farm outside of New Prague. She has 25 years of experience in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, counties, non-profits, and outpatient mental health clinics. She has extensive experience working in the mental health field and has provided mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. She has a passion for working with people who are grieving, and she has specialized training in grief work with individuals, families, and communities. She’s an Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Clinician and uses it in her practice.
While working in the mental health field, Karen noticed that there was a big need for more services in rural areas in Minnesota. She loves her hometown and decided it was a great place to open her own private practice to start bridging the gap in services. She plans to expand her practice and hire more mental health therapists to serve this rural area. Karen is married to Todd and has one son, who is currently in college. She also has her little 8-pound dog, Sedona Leo, who’s a true “diva dog”.
